Every year, when Madrid turns into the Contemporary Art capital of the world, FISAN packs its events chockfull of Acorn-Fed Ibérico flavour.
During the week ranging from February 20th to the 26th Madrid turns into the Contemporary Art capital of the world with the hosting of Arco and ART MADRID 2017. FISAN has, of course, participated for the second consecutive edition.
ART MADRID 2017, where we were present at its opening, has held its twelfth edition at the Crystal Gallery of the Centro Cibeles. During five days approximately 50 contemporary art galleries presented their artistic proposals right in the very cultural heart of Madrid. Art Madrid has consolidated itself during these years as a multi-discipline trade fair in which galleries dedicated to painting, sculpture, graphic art and photography since the 20th Century forward have all participated, without leaving aside disciplines such as performance, video-art, artistic installations and site-specific projects.
ARCO Madrid 2017 has gained in reputation on the worldwide art market due to the quality of its artistic proposals. This edition the wager has focused the trade fair’s offering on grand level projects and works, content of which has first undergone an intense and rigorous selection, which was made by the Organising Committee and the team of commissioners. This year a total of 200 galleries from 27 countries have participated: 164 of them make up the General Programme and another 24 the Commissioner Programme. We have been present throughout the entire fair with our Gran Reserva Ham, the same in the VIP Hall. A hall designed by Briales del Amo Arquitectos and Patricia Reznak, winners of the 5th Contest of Ideas for the Design of the VIP Hall, contest that was called by the AD España magazine and ARCOmadrid. A singular space in which the gallery owners, collectors and special guests were able to enjoy a quiet rest, encounters and flavour.
For us this alliance with Contemporary Art is already turning into an absolute tradition. Participation in the vanguard of contemporary art, this is our wager on fine gastronomy. The vanguard of flavour.
